Was catching up on the CAD comics and came across this comic… reminded me of the dinner at “More Please” “No More”
Went to another bicycle store today.
They had brands such as Avanti and Specialized.
What do you think of those?
Do you think carbon fibre or aluminium frames are better? Is it just personal preference?
More wedding pictures! Decreased quality because I compressed them!
Chee and Loan, I can give you all my photos on a CD if you want. They’ve turned out well!
Dunno if this has been photochopped… looks quite legit though….

Admin. - on the topic, we have to congratulate the newlywed Mr and Mrs Mach… I mean Mach-Fah… I mean Fah.
Another one for the month, hope you have a fantastic day.
Have a read of a friend’s take on inter-racial relationships.
Looking at most of use here - ethnic Chinese (or other Asian background), born or brought up here, in a relatively long-term relationship with someone else of similar background. The fact is that you tend to be drawn to other people of similar backgrounds, whether it’s your friends at school or your life partner. That said, I never imagined I would end up with a FOB international student…
What can I say. It was truly an experience. I’m still trying to piece together all my memories from the day as it was a LONG day indeed. I think if I had to sum it up I’d say that we achieved to do what we had set out to do - and that was to finish the ride together (mostly). Sure, we took ~12.5hrs to do it (Steve Bracks took ~11.5hrs elapsed… *hangs head in shame*), cycling for just on 8hrs, but we stuck together, motivated and helped each other (and strangers) out along on the way, and I can say that I was happy to have shared the day together with TYP.
My ATB day began at 3:50am. My alarm was set for 4:20am but I just woke up earlier so I decided to get up to eat. The day started with a huge bowl of pasta I had left over from the night before. I had also eaten 2 dinners the previous night just to make sure that I was fully fuelled from the start. (Note for Al #1 - make sure you eat heaps before your long rides next time!!) The plan was for HP, Yang, Nick and Al to meet at Abbotsford at 5:00am when they would all roll into the city to meet me at 5:15am outside AXA. I got out the door at about 4:50am so I was looking good. When I got to AXA at about 5:10am, the street was packed with cars. I saw a few doof-doofers wandering the streets and heading home but I just never expected it’d be difficult to find a park at that time! Looked like everyone else had the same idea as me. Lucky I’d found a park (the last) right outside Starbucks.
Again, need to clarify that it’s Norm’s birthday.
Am I right?
Happy XXth birthday anyway!
It appears that Norm is halfway through writing something up on the ride, but in the meantime here are the few photos I took on the day with my phone.
