I think this has been floating around for a while but I just recently came across it. Amazing… reminds you what we take for granted sometimes…

Orders

Posted by Hay on 21st November 2006 in Cycling

Hey everyone - sorry for lack of posts, hope everyone is well. Anh and I will be back on December 22 - so if anyone wants anything from over here let me know and i’ll see if I can get it.

Some links to cycle stores over here but if there is anything else you might want (not related to cycling), let me know:

Also I don’t actually have much time back in Melbourne and was looking to do a ride on Sun 24/11/2006 - anyone interested? See everyone soon.

Inaugural qweop Net Meeting

Posted by Geek on 20th November 2006 in Adelaide| London| Melbourne| Website

This could turn out to be a disaster, but I’m going to try and organise a virtual (video) meeting for all of us.

For privacy reasons, those who do not have my MSN contact please send me an email and I’ll hook you up.

You’ll also need to download Windows Live Messenger for this meeting. (I think it can handle multiple video windows at the same time).

So when is it?

London:
Sunday 26th November 10:00am - You guys can roll back over to sleep if it doesn’t work. But I’m guessing Bubu (or whatever the one in London was called) and Nick will want to catch up…

Kuala Lumpur:
Sunday 26th November 6:00pm - Don’t know whether you can get this stuff working on the Mac Zara.

Adelaide:
Sunday 26th November 8:30pm - If DJ’s not busy cutting down trees etc…

Melbourne:
Sunday 26th November 9:00pm - Cycle during the day, then we’ll grab something to eat and come back to my place to brag about who beat who… BTW I haven’t spoken to any of the guys yet so you could just end up talking to only ME!

Time Zones?

Posted by Geek on 19th November 2006 in Stuff on the Web

BTW, in case anyone else still struggles with time zones I’ve been using this for ages and I just thought that I’d share it with you guys… (if only Mr Admin would get off his butt and show time zones on this site then we wouldn’t need it!)

Microsoft Time Zone

“Microsoft Time Zone conveniently runs in the system tray and allows you to easily view the date and time in various locations around the world. You can also quickly and easily add your own personal locations to customize Microsoft Time Zone the way you want.”

Alpine Tour de Suburbs

Posted by Geek on 16th November 2006 in Cycling

No, it’s not some glamorous race in Europe, it’s just another one of those infamous Melbourne training rides that runs every Thursday night at 6:30pm starting from Punt Rd near St Kilda Rd junction, running through Kew, Balwyn, Doncaster and Heidelberg. Tonight, Yang and I thought that we’d give it a go (okay, Yang talked me into it). I hadn’t ridden in 3 days while I’ve been in Sydney and this morning was too wet for the North Road Ride so I decided to do this instead. And was I glad I did! I actually finished the ride and got a pretty good workout. (Yay!)
