Crash in Burnley Tunnel

There was a a big accident in the Burnley tunnel this morning at around 10am. I’m not exactly sure what happened but I think a truck crunched into slower moving traffic. Several vehicles caught on fire and exploded. So far three people confirmed dead.

Add to that a major gas leak somewhere in Malvern which halted train services on several lines and some delivery truck catching on fire in Taylors Lake. The FINA World Championships are on at the moment plus there’s the airshow out at Avalon. Makes Melbourne look a lot busier than it usually is.

2007/2008 Entertainment Books

Following on Norm’s footsteps, I’m organising Entertainment Books ‘for’ our Soccer Club. If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll put one aside from you. It will be the same deal as last year – cost price.

Car Parts

A “Specialty shop” for auto parts…

Something for the car people.

I gonna get the bling 710 cap!

Airbus A380

I can’t wait till they get these flying between LHR and MEL… I hate long flights.

“While the double-decker A380, which has a wingspan almost as large as a football field, can carry 850 passengers, Qantas is likely to reconfigure the plane to seat just 500 to give extra space to customers.”

That’s supposed to be comfortable?

I know I’m trying to get more non-cycling posts here, but I just had to post this one which I found on on aus.bicycle.

ISM Adamo road saddle

ISM Adamo road saddle

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, I guess. There’s obviously a reason behind the shape. As for carbon-fibre saddles, that’s just beyond me.
