Just got back from Iceland. We were hoping to see the Northern Lights for Gin’s 30th birthday and supposedly we did see a very weak performance. It was grey and looked more like reflections off clouds in my opinion, but we were told it was the Northern Lights and I think I did see it ‘shimmer’ for a bit.
Iceland is an awesome country with so much natural beauty. 2.5 days didn’t do it justice.
And by the way, I proposed to Gin on the trip so we’re engaged.
Getting better. Cornering better and still quite comfortable staying with the bunch. Just need to work on kicking up the speed a few more notches in the final couple of laps. I managed to stay around 6th wheel at 2 to go until getting swamped by another 10-15 riders left, right and centre in the last two corners. I think before that 2nd last corner is where I need to find a gap/wheel to launch next time.
Oh yer, definitely need more work on intervals grinding out the 53-12….
Hoping my vision returns to normal soon. I’m sick of everything looking like a 70s wedding photo. That or a soft pr0n movie, take your pick.
Time for another rant.
A pet hate – hearing people say “particuly”. ParticuLARly annoying when you hear it on the TV from people who should know better, like journalists and sports commentators.
