YPR #66 The ride that almost wasn’t
It was a real struggle to wake up this morning, but I eventually willed myself out of bed after pressing the snooze button on the alarm at least 5 times. There was a last-minute call to go help J. Yap move a massive 8-person dining table 16 floors up an apartment building by the fire escape because it wouldn’t fit in the lift. It almost seemed like an impossible task but it took 5 of us a sweat-drenched half hour to get it into the apartment.
Anyway, this morning I made it to Yarra Boulevard just past the usual meeting time. At first I thought everyone else had bailed on me but after one and a half laps by myself, Geek and Keith finally showed up. The three of us managed a couple more laps before obligatory coffee at Niche on Bridge.
My highlight for the ride, was discovering that Niche have loyalty cards. Although, the Asian in me is annoyed at only getting only one stamp for 2 coffees.
