YPR #67 Birthday Ride
I’ll let Keith write this one up as I rocked up extremely late due to feeding responsibilities and a last minute nappy change. I didn’t catch up with those guys until the Mordy Cafe (thanks for the icy pole Keith!). There just weren’t any quick groups to latch on to and I just had to do pretty much all of the hard work on the way down (pooh hoo).

Also bumped into my HK/London friend there who was returning from Mt Martha. Thank goodness I didn’t ride with him that morning!
Sorry. I’ve been slow to write this one up. I haven’t been at work, so not much time spent on the computer.
We had a fairly cruisy ride down to Mordi. HY involuntarily bought icy-poles for everyone, as I handed them out to the wrong people. On the return leg, I was drafting Geek and Carlos for a while. My legs felt OK at the time, so I thought I’d jump to the front and speed things up… That didn’t last long. I totally “hit the wall” after about 5 minutes and had to limp home.
The temp was rapidly heading towards 40, so it was a good thing we didn’t try to ride to Mornington, as we might have done in the past…
