Last month we all went to Taste of London which is a fair where 40 different top class London restaurants were each offering 3 signature dishes from their menus for tasting.

We paid £22.50 which gave us £18 worth of crowns. Each crown was worth £0.50, we exchange the crowns for the dishes (each dish works out to be about £4-£5).

There were also a lot of product promotions which meant a lot of free food… which meant that was where we hung out… There was this one place that was offering a free 3 course meal (and they were promoting sherry)! The main was a steak, and what a delicious one!

Jase got to taste Wagu beef!! I missed the beef but did find some truffles…. mmmm….

James found some bbq lamb he thought - and repeatedly said - was f***’g great. Hay thought so too, so looks like we’ll being going to that restaurant soon.

One place had boxes of fruit juices free to everyone… Janey and I probably walked past there about 10 times… we ended up with a fridge full of juices that day (which Janey didn’t like anyway).

Hay and I went to Hamburg Apr 29 - May 1 (May bank long weekend). It’s a nice city, but not much to do.

Trips during the long weekend can get expensive - the trick is to book early (months and months in advance). Hay and I booked one week beforehand and paid (for two) £260 for return Ryan Air flights, and £220 for 2 nights accomodation (4 star though : )

We managed to book Hungary trip (end of May) relatively early and are paying roughly £300 pounds for 5 days including flight, accomodation, car hire and airport transfers! Sounds expensive? Not if you’re earning pounds!! I still can’t get over how much accountants can earn here for doing nothing!! (Well actually, I work really hard, but every other accountant I know don’t).

Anyway, photos will be posted here soon. HP, I stuffed up on the photo upload … can you please move it to my folder? Or you could give me administative access?? By the way, what are ‘pings’?
