Posted by Geek on 8th February 2010 in London| That's funny

So I was wandering around Chinatown today and I came across a Japanese Manga toy store.

So, anyone need a new “cushioned” mouse mat?

Bianchee

Posted by Geek on 24th January 2010 in Cycling| London

Since Hay’s not here, I borrrowed his Bianchi for a quick spin. I think I managed to fit it pretty much to the measurements on my Giant, with the exception that the drop may have been about 1cm more.

My thoughts? Well carbon is definitely a lot ‘cushier’ for the ride, but….
Maybe I’m not used to riding compact 50/34…
Maybe it was the shallower wheels…
Maybe it needs a bit of a service…
OR… maybe it’s not about the bike after all and I’m just not as fit as I thought I was. :)

My ride time on the Genesis on Tuesday was faster than what I did this afternoon.

Well, I’m not going to write off this super light sexy beast yet, so will give it a few more spins and see if I can break a 35km/h average.

Work

Posted by Geek on 9th January 2010 in London

Okay, so after two days of working in the city I thought I’d make the trek into my normal office, which is located about 30km out of central London.

I really felt like I should be strapping on a snowboard….

Oh, and here’s the other photo I took earlier yesterday too. No possibility of bushfires happening here….

TCR1 Makeover

Posted by Geek on 9th February 2009 in Cycling| London

Spent a whole afternoon cleaning the bike, and still not quite finished. Cleaned the old wheels and cassette for storage.

What’s new:
- Easton EA90 TT
- Michelin Pro Race 3 in red
- Ultegra 11-23T cassette
- Dura Ace 10 Spd chain (to be installed)
- Dura Ace brake pads (I figured new rims, new pads. In case the old pads had any bits stuck in them that’ll wear out my new rims quicker).
