More vaseline on the camera lens

Note to self: remember to bring something to do next time I have to visit a public hospital.

Just spent the whole morning sitting down, waiting, getting up, sitting down, waiting…

I had to go to the Eye and Ear again for a follow-up visit to check my iritis flare-up. The emergency department was a bit busier so it took nearly three hours this morning compared to just over one hour on Thursday evening. I should have asked them to refer me to the private eye clinic which I attended two years ago since they already have my history. Problem is now they have to ask me the same questions and run the same tests which I have already done before. HLA-B27? I already tested positive for that 5 years ago. QuantiFERON? No, I don’t have TB. Let’s get some blood and test for that again. Chest x-rays? No, I don’t have any respiratory conditions. Let’s get some X-rays of your chest anyway, and your sacroiliac joints too while we’re at it.

So after spending the morning sitting down in seven different chairs while three nurses and two doctors administered drugs, flashed lights in my eyes and stuck needles in my arm, I went and sat down in another chair so that one old barber could cut my hair.

The Other MJ

Usually I don’t remember what I dream about, but I just remembered a little fragment of last night’s dream.

I was playing basketball with Michael Jordan. Actually, there was nothing specifically in the dream which said he was Michael Jordan. He just looked exactly like him. The only difference was that he couldn’t fly like MJ, so that’s why I’m not actually sure if it was him.

Here’s hoping I might be able to get back onto the basketball court if I can get this arthritis under control this year.

I have worms

After five weeks of little exercise, I seem to have lost about 2 kilograms.

Where can I sell this new weight-loss regime?

Now, to find something to eat. I’m hungry…

YPR #55 Back on the bike!

My body was finally feeling well enough to go for a proper ride. We managed to get three of us – Keith, HYG and I – together for a shortish ride to Black Rock. Alan was a no-show because he had to look after the little man.

My knee held up for most of the ride but it did start to get a little sore towards the end of the ride. I was pretty sleepy for the rest of the day after the ride, so my body still needs to get used to that level of exertion. All up, pretty happy I managed to get back on the bike.

Vaseline

Hoping my vision returns to normal soon. I’m sick of everything looking like a 70s wedding photo. That or a soft pr0n movie, take your pick.
